Vintage Leather Peacoat

Hi, long time no see.

Sorry about that, but anyway have you been watching Girl Boss on Netflix? It’s a loose story telling of the rise of Nasty Gal and I love it. The clothes are heaven and it’s really a captivating story. In true Girl Boss ( Sophia) spirit, myself and a few of my gal pals from university went charity shop hopping. The first shop we stumbled upon was a British Red Cross and I sniffed out this gorgeous tan leather peacoat within the first few seconds. I flung it on and twirled in front of the mirror then twirled to the cash desk and it was all mine, for £5. £5!!

The photos of this look were taken in the water fountains at Southampton’s new Watermark. I was getting splatted by all the water, hence the face pulling.

I controversially style the peacoat with black and I love the look. My trusted black boots that make my legs look miles long and my most precious mini dress. (It’s the dress I met my boy friend in and I wear it every anniversary) To tie in the tan a little more I dug out my ‘seen better days’ Dooney and Bourke bumble bee barrel bag. I think it got water damaged years ago so the black leather has gone grey but it’s mine and I could never replace it. To finish (the cherry on top) are my fan earrings, given to me by a family friend.

I wore

dress – H! Henry Holland | boots – Topshop | Jacket – Vintage | earrings – gifted | Bag – Dooney and Bourke

Thanks for reading, see you soon
