Since I was a teenager around 13 I think I’ve been on a mission to know my self-worth. I have come to understand that you, yourself define it. You aren’t defined by the choices you make. That guy you shouldn’t have dated, those bad late-night decisions. What you matter to people, it all means nothing. Within your mind, and body and soul is where your self-worth lies. Self-worth plays into imposter syndrome, especially in consumer/influencer culture. Not feeling worthy of attention, acclaim, opportunity etc, is a common theme in peoples lives. It’s possibly easier to think you don’t deserve a promotion, or the job you want, the house you dream of the significant other you long for. But, and here is the but, you do. You deserve anything and everything you desire if you work for it. If you put in the hours, you will gain the reward, and when the reward comes, TAKE IT!
I often don’t go for things because I feel like I’m not worthy ( insert Wayne’s World clip), don’t give myself up to the opportunity because there will be someone better, that can do better than me. But no one will be able to do what I do, do what you do. We are unique and will fulfil opportunities that are right for us. We will thrive in work, and in play. But it’s up to us to know that we can, to know our self-worth. I’ve finally understood that I’m “a catch”. No one can be a better version of me than me. You have to all really know that, that what you want is valid and it can be yours. Which I’m fully understand ing as a 25-year-old. The road isn’t quick or easy but it is a path to your goals and fulfilment.

Hey style lovers, quick question. When you get stressed does your style and effort in creating daily looks go right out the window? Mine does. I’m a style blogger that takes a photo of what I’m wearing that day. No pre-planning and shooting multiple looks a day. Maybe I should start doing that. Anyway, I’ve been swamped with university work and trying to finish early because Hayden and I are away on my hand in day. I’ve piled my plate rather high these past few weeks, and have been wearing the exact same thing day in day out apart from when I have work then it’s coffee-stained jeans and my uniform.
The last time I felt like I made an effort was when my Nanny came down. The outside of the Upside Down house was the perfect place to inject some colour and motivation back into my daily looks.

I love tucking shirts into trousers the masculine styling is something I’m really into. Mixing patterns is really easy when you pick one bold pattern and a more muted pattern. The contrast of the trousers and shirt are so easy to wear. Of course my blue wool Topshop coat. I’ve found the the Louis Vuitton bag of my dreams. I’m so excited and motivated to work towards getting her.
Shots taken while walking over the bridge in Lymington. On the way back from an adventure to find a monument hidden in the trees. The sun had pretty much set, but it still looked beautiful.

The globality of the beret isn’t lost on me but I still feel that it is the most Parisian thing someone can wear. Such a chic iconic hat has to be a foundation of Parisian style. I have become quite the collector of said hat. This cute black number in a DKNY piece which I was planning to save for when we are in Germany. The colder climate and Europian architecture would look so striking in photos of my looks for TCHG. But I couldn’t resist.
Black accessories are the easiest way to create an effortlessly chic look. My dear friend Stella looks so chic in black and has such style that I’m constantly looking to her for inspiration. She dresses in a much more polished way then I do but I can still get a lot of styling Ideas.
On another note, I can’t believe I am loving red so much. What has happened to me? First I bought this delightful red cross body by Yumi then a cropped polo shirt from Tommy Hilfiger in bright red.

Dress shirts are the chicest thing you can possibly wear other than a suit. I am forever looking for suits and dress shirts to wear. Effortless style is what I’m all about. Nothing too fussy, just a statement.
A silky dress shirt, fishnet tights and mock croc Chelsea boots make the perfect evening out for me. A dress so short it would make anyone blush, styled with fishnet tights to really hammer home the length of the dress and small statement boots to weigh the look. Wearing a strappy pair of heels would have made the look to ‘ladylike’ for my liking. Styling with contrasts is what makes an outfit stand out for me. Accessorised with an oversized denim jacket, for that effortless ‘didn’t try to hard’ look and a faux fur bag which adds texture.

A quintessentially British designer global recognised, William Morris prints are all over the world from textiles to wallpaper, and now a H&M collection. The Victorian/arts and crafts style is perfect for this time of year. Morris & Co X H&M teams the most recognisable William Morris prints into a collection for the A/W and beyond. Click the link to be taken to the site, H&M. I knew I wanted a piece from this collection. Each piece has a luxury look at H&M prices. The first piece I picked was this dress shirt, it’s flowing hem and delicate cuffs made it the perfect choice.
The styling of the shoot of this collection is giving me major inspiration for styling for Autumn. Soft feminine skirts with thick sailor jumpers, turtlenecks under dresses. Heavenly.

There is nothing like almost dying to make you love your body.
I don’t beat myself up over being heavier than my friends. Or eating ALOT of cake and then more cake. I’m excited to be alive.
Nothing more poignant then went my friends and I went to a water park. My gorgeous slender babes all in swimming costumes and me not giving an F in a bikini that made my tits look fantastic. If I do say so myself. note, it’s not to say my friends aren’t confident I just really don’t care what people think of me. So I wear what makes me happy.
Even though I was ill 10 years ago I’m still feeling grateful for all the Drs and nurses and powerful that my body (and their medicine) kept me alive.
Recently when trying on clothes I realised it wasn’t my shortcomings in the body department that was wrong it was the fashion industry that was. I see my body as beautiful and that clothes not fitting right was the fashion worlds problem, not mine. I will choose to shop in stores that understand that bodies are for living in and that what I’m doing with mine. I’ll leave behind stores that are unrealistic and don’t understand the form of the female body.
I’m wearing two pieces from high street stores that I love, They have really started to become my favourite places to shop.
This H&M dress is my favourite thing in my wardrobe. You’ve seen me talk about it in a recent post and still love it. Paired with New Look tartan trousers because it is winter. For years these two stores have been the places that I’ve never shopped in. I dreaded them, to be honest. Their sizing didn’t fit into my ideals, so I stayed away. To my delight, they’ve earned serious points for this season.
And these boots are heaven.hard to walk in because I’ve broken too many toes in my time but, Oh my I love that they make me about 6ft3.

In these transitional days, it’s key to layer, one minute it’s windy and cold then like a summers day. The wool Topshop coat from last winter is back out and I know that lots of you are in love with this coat like I am. It’s such a timeless shape with amazing blue and peach patterning. Paired with my favourite tartan trousers. What’s life without more tartan?
With more neutral pairings of a grey Cola jumper from a vintage store that Hayden and I both love and white leather Converse. Of course, my Yumi red bag to tie in with the cola logo.
Really lacking in jewellery inspiration at the moment. Jewellery is so such a summer thing to me that wearing anything in Winter seams off.

For AW-18/19 Vogue said silk dresses are in. Or if you want something more wearable a silk scarf around your neck or in your hair is a perfect nod to the trend. Or really dive deep into the trend and find yourself a silk dress, much like the slip dress trend but for this season it’s about pattern and vibrancy for Autumn.

Thank god I rarely throw anything away. As I have kept most of the silk scarves that I’ve picked up here and there. From vintage kilo sales to thrift shopping you can really find amazing vintage silk if you know where to look.

A silk scarf dress that I bought for my senior prom (6 years ago) and just kept because it’s so unique. Of course, it’s a summer piece so pair with a turtleneck and tights or a jacket and jeans. You could just go bare legged and a huge jumper, it’s really up to you. Miss matched layering is another trend for AW-18/19 so go wild. If you are a DIY wiz get creative and cut a silk scarf diagonally in half and sew the cut triangle ends together to create a silk scarf top and a little ribbon if you chose otherwise tie together.
