This is a ‘We Are Awesome Sassy Women (and anyone that needs a pep talk) and people can’t treat us like crap anymore’ blog post. For far too long I personally have been on the receiving end of shit. People ( cough boys) want to rain on my parade or take advantage, who think it’s cool to treat me like crap. I know some of you feel that way too. I say NO LONGER!!
We are the cool girls we are the ones that you aren’t good enough for. We are smart and funny and can step in line with all the others. If you come our way with an idea of how we should be for you, you get a middle finger. If you can love us for our sass, amazing sense of humour, killer looks, general good human being skills, step on over. Thank god for H, I no longer have to listen to Bull and can actually talk to a fit guy about cheese sandwiches and Irn Bru, who will take my outfit photos for me.Having someone in your life that appreciates you really highlights how little others think of you, and to brush them off asap.

Hi, long time no see.
Sorry about that, but anyway have you been watching Girl Boss on Netflix? It’s a loose story telling of the rise of Nasty Gal and I love it. The clothes are heaven and it’s really a captivating story. In true Girl Boss ( Sophia) spirit, myself and a few of my gal pals from university went charity shop hopping. The first shop we stumbled upon was a British Red Cross and I sniffed out this gorgeous tan leather peacoat within the first few seconds. I flung it on and twirled in front of the mirror then twirled to the cash desk and it was all mine, for £5. £5!!
The photos of this look were taken in the water fountains at Southampton’s new Watermark. I was getting splatted by all the water, hence the face pulling.
I controversially style the peacoat with black and I love the look. My trusted black boots that make my legs look miles long and my most precious mini dress. (It’s the dress I met my boy friend in and I wear it every anniversary) To tie in the tan a little more I dug out my ‘seen better days’ Dooney and Bourke bumble bee barrel bag. I think it got water damaged years ago so the black leather has gone grey but it’s mine and I could never replace it. To finish (the cherry on top) are my fan earrings, given to me by a family friend.

I’m never a girl to pass up a chance to go shopping, especially if that includes discounts. West Quay hosted Student Sessions for all the Southampton students to shop with discounts, dance and win some prizes.
I didn’t really do any damage, I went to my favourite shops as they were more quiet. Jack Wills were giving out free beer which was a great touch, and their staff were very nice. The gentleman that served me in Hotel Chocolat was an actual delight, very charming and friendly.
I wondered around the shops through hoards of people looking for bargains. I cheekily asked the very lovely sales assistant in Fat Face to take a photo of me. Which he kindly obliged.

Saying bye to my work friends started with dinner at Vesuvio, an Italian on the water front in Bournemouth. Last time i was there i had a pizza which was delicious but this time i had a lasagne dish. Which didn’t live up to how excited i was or how hungry i was. A little tasteless but their bellinis are lovely. And the lemon cheesecake was a smash hit.

Harry Paye day is an annual event held on Poole Quay every year on the 18th June, but I’ve only been this year. You dress up as a pirate and have a laugh with your friends while you raise some money for local charities.
I pulled on my boots and bandana and dashed to meet my friend before everything finished. I made it just in time to watch the last band play and eat an ice-cream.
It’s amazing that you can pull a costume together with a tan belt, lose shirt, knee high boots and a bandana.

It rained on and off so my outfit was a poor choice, but it’s super cute and the mesh overlay is my favourite. I threw on my New Look jacket which saved me from the cold.

I spent the weekend in London with family celebrating Georgie and Tom’s engagement by attending their masquerade ball.
The whole family really got onboard with the masquerade theme and I think we do scrub up pretty well. I found it really hard to dance with a mask on so took it off to party the night away. Not before stopping by the photo booth the pose.
Having danced to all the greats, it was only right to get some cake.
Before my feet fell off from dancing in my shoes all night, we jumped in a taxi and headed back to the hotel.

This is what I wore to Star Wars: The Force Awakens. i don’t really have any thoughts about it yet, I enjoyed the film and didn’t once think ‘ this is one long film’. So I guess I liked it and am glad I went. I’m not a film critic, so I’ll leave it there.
I’ve finally taught myself how to curl my hair ( ‘but you hair is curly’ i hear you cry) When I try to curl my hair no matter that I try the curls never stay in, until now. I’ve found a way for me to have defined curls and have them last, it’s only taken me 21 years!

Christmas is the perfect time to see all your friends and with the last week of college 2015 coming to a close it was only right to have a few friends over for a little celebration. As you can see I love a party. I think the hat and tie really set my outfit off 😉
