Chinese Winter Wonderland

Chinese new year is just around the corner and Bournemouth are in full celebration mode. Boscombe have put on Chinese winter wonderland. I headed over to sample some delicious food. There were events going on over both days but we got completely distracted by the food stalls. DSCN1339 DSCN1341DSCN1335-001

Chinese pork bun/Cha siu bao which was so delicious the puffy bun was light and the perfect bed for the sweet hot barbecue pork inside.

I don’t remember what this is called but let me tell you it was so so delicious. Rise, boiled egg, star anise, beef. My little Nephew who’s a fussy eater loved this dish so much i couldn’t feed him fast enough.DSCN1327

These was a sort of asian omelette with squid in i think, coated in a generous amount of spice.

Followed very quickly by Korean glass noodles that weren’t my favourite but mum loved them. They were such a success that I wasn’t quick enough to get a snap of them.

Washed down with Yobu’s mango bubble tea with lychee balls.

None of us had ever had bubble tea before, now we are all huge fans. Some enjoyed it way more then others. Little man loved the lychee balls in the tea that you chew when you drink. All the food venders are restaurant owners in and around Bournemouth.

Don’t forget that Chinese new year is on 8th February and I hope you are all going to celebrate in some way.
