Foam
The first week of freshers is almost over and i thought I’d give you a little insight into what it’s like. Now i’m 22 and live in a little beautiful village and I love living there, hearing horses and cows when i wake up, or a church bell, so serene.
The university I chose is in a city, I live in halls on the ground floor. Something for nothing it’s very noisy, i can hear people cough in the next room, hear airplanes, cars, people. It’s a whole world apart from what i’m used to.
With a city comes more people and more clubs and as a fresher it’s a free for all deciding on what club to go to for the night. Every club competes for people. Oceana held a foam party which I had to go to. Canons of foam are sprayed over the crown and you all dance and mosh together to loud thumping music, you do feel like you are underwater (in a storm).
Tips to survive a foam party.
Wear flat shoes (trainers) it’s so slippy
wear clothes you aren’t worried about getting ruined. Head to Primark and get some leggings and a top, that isn’t white.( I went to the new look sale and picked things up for £4)
girls your handbag should be cross body with a good closer. If you drop it in the foam it’s going to be hard to find it again.
take wipes with you for your makeup, because it will be down your face.
coat check a towel or something to get rid of the foam and something to keep you warm if you walk home with your friends. ( i did neither of these things and wish i had)
the visibility in the foam
the foam its hard to get off your legs and feet, your hair get soaked and feels slimy.
BUT!! it’s so much fun and I think i laughed from when the foam first started coming until I went to bed. You are with your friends having a laugh doing something you’ve never done before. But remember to not rub your eyes, they will sting!!
Thanks for reading, more freshers posts to follow.
