Black Dress Style for the Festive Period
Step aside the LBD, there is a new dress in town. The Long Black Dress.
I was blessed to be a bridesmaid for the bothers wedding at the beginning of the month. Hosted at The Cumberland Hotel in Bournemouth, along the seafront. The bride, now known as Little Bozz was the chillest bride I’ve ever seen. The four bridesmaids could pick their own dress to wear, they just had to be black. I loved this as a resident tall girl, I can’t pull off the same dress as say a 5ft 4 girl. I clicked onto ASOS and used their perfect filters to whittle down my options.
SIDE NOTE: Isn’t ASOS the perfect place to find what you are looking for. They have a great selection of shoes for big footed lasses like me. dress HERE
I decided on two dresses, one very ‘bridesmaid’ style dress, with a cross over detailing that fastened under the bust. With a little ruffle detailing. The other dress was a velvet empire line pleated dress that suited me so much better. The little cut out detailing at the back added a bit of interest and fun to the formal dress. With pleated sleeves and low neckline, it was a clear winner. Paired with a thrifted platform heel in velvet also, with added silver stars and a vintage black clutch bag that was my mums. I felt perfect in it. I wore a pair of earrings gifted to me as a bridesmaid’s gift. Little red hearts which matched my red nails and matched the bride who wore a head piece with red in it and matching red nails.
