Winter Dressing – Knitted Dress and Leather Jacket
This past weekend Hayden and I went to Kingston Lacy a National Trust home in Dorset, near Wimborne. To have a walk around the gardens and grounds. I love stately homes and always dream of owning one as hosting parties. After years of watching period dramas, I guess it comes naturally to pretend I live in such a place. So far removed from my little flat in town.
This looked reminds me of something you’d wear if you were Rachel Green and just started work at Ralph Lauren. Such a 90’s esque vibe, I’m all here for. The tights, that are on trend this season BTW. So happy fun patterned tights are back. Mine are from Amazon here. The faux leather jacket is from Zara a few seasons ago. Alternatives here. here. The relaxed boxy fit added to the 90’s style. Dress is old Reserved. A great dress, the shaping is perfect with extra-long cuffs. The puff detailing and the skater skirt make it so much more than a regular knitted dress. I have found so many alternatives to the dress on H&M. here
Bag is vintage CK, I’ll know that I’ve had it for years. Calvin Klein seam to be having a sporty moment so there aren’t any alternatives at the moment. But The lovely Coach is having a fluffy bag moment. This one here is on my wish list.
A more contemporary take on my pointy black snakeskin style boots are their Marks and Spencer ones. The heel detailing is perfect. Enough interest to elevate a black boot. here
