English summer means nothing to us Brits with out a down poor of rain.
For me personally there is no better way to spend a day stuck indoors then to pamper myself with some goodies. Lush are the go to place for a little TLC. I popped into their original store in Poole and snapped up some treats, thank you to Rose who helped me out now end, sniffing pots and bottles, picking the right bath bomb, I could go on about how great she was, but you should go in and see for yourself.
I’m trying to make more of an effort in looking after my hair, I think having curly hair does take a lot of work but, I love my ringlets and waves. This Tangled hot oil hair treatment is just the thing to give my hair a little break from working. Just melt into a mug and work into your locks, leave for as long as you can and ta-dah!
Comforter is one of the best smelling Lush products ever! I could sniff the stuff all day ( disclosure: stiffed the bottle in the store a little to much) I lather this up with a bath ball and turn myself into a bath time snowman.
I really have no clue what this bath bomb is called but I love it! It creates the best magic in your bath, lots of foam and bubbles.
This is the thing I’m most excited about Pumice Power, I stand all day and at the end of my working week I can’t wait to give my feet a break. Pumice Power is an exfoliant so I don’t rub my feet to hard with it, otherwise they would be so sore. Once towed off my feet are so soft and refreshed.
I used the hot oil, bath bomb and the pumice power all at the same time. It was a totally pamper fest, I felt like Cleopatra or something.
have a nice day XO
this quilted reversable jacket is a little vintage number my mum picked up. It’s to most light weight cosiest jacket I’ve ever worn.
I can’t decide which side I like the most!
I got a little crazy and bought yet another handbag ( i really should be saving, i have adventures to go on) I couldn’t help myself. Nautical and tiny. I can’t describe this pattern any other way then, water and ink. I LOVE this top the two layers, the slit in the back. The colours and everything, there are small hints of yellow. I’ve been wearing my most recent monthly favourites shoes all the time. Brogues and turned up jeans!!

To say I’m a shoe addict would be an understatement, I bought a new pair of shoes today even. But I want to talk to you about these shoes.I love these Hunter sandals, the jell of the shoe moulds to you feet and sticks like glue, which makes them the easiest to walk in. Also the colour!! I love, love, love fuchsia, a huge pop of colour to my outfit. I really wanted to make my shoes the focus point of this look.

Over sized T’s and cropped trackies are my go to uniform when I’ve finished work. I’d happily walk out onto the street wearing this Gap pair. The added details make them just that little bit special. Stopping short of the ankle is perfect for wearing converse, I love wearing mine.
Feeling sassy! How ‘fancy’ is my back garden with an oil drum in the back.
At home there is totally no need for me to do my hair ( accurate representation of me life) guys honestly my hair isn’t orange IRL

this year I’m learning to fall in love, with my body. My lifestyle over the years has changed, moving out of my teens and into my twenties has seen me go into the working world. Which has meant that I’ve made some bad habits. I’d eat what I wanted and lazed around after work. I would say that at this point I really didn’t like the way I felt about myself, I thought I was hideous ( truthfully, I’d cry a lot thinking about all the clothes I loved that didn’t fit me, how everyone around me was thin and out loving life, going on dates, going in holiday)
Finally I thought enough is enough, I don’t have to cry everyday. What’s the use in crying, I’m not actually sad. Around this revelation stage I want to see my oldest, loveliest friend in the whole world. We went out with a a guy I’d met once and have a fun time giggling away to ourselves and basically being totally ourselves. I thought to myself the next day that I should be laughing every day, creating stories and memories that would shape my future. ( the guy thing, didn’t last. That crashed and burned most spectacularly)
Moving forward I made a pact with myself to be active, my friend has a personal trainer. I’m not one for the gym. so thought I’d go running around my village. I would run every other day for a month and then go from there. Well a month flew by and I loved running. the Nike+ app was an amazing motivator. During this time I also took a look at my diet. I was living off sugar and carbs ( comfort food) and nothing else really. So I starting buying my favourite fruits, salads and healthier snacks. I turned my diet from all browns in colour to a rainbow of healthier potions.
So here I am sat watching the news typing away to you over a stone lighter a million times happier. I went to Topshop a couple of weeks ago and tried on some clothes and they fit!! I could have cried with happiness. I run maybe twice a week eat a rainbow of food colours and can’t see myself going back to my old habits.
The whole point of doing #HealthierHappierAmelia to fill my body with fuel not food. To give my body the energy to keep up with me, and if I lose a bit of weight in the process, great, but that’s not the goal.
If I want to drink wine, I’ll have wine, if I want chocolate cake I’ll have it. It’s not about punishment its about pride and power.
I love wearing white shirts, but can i get a photo of them with out them looking like a ghost. No, no I can’t!
Any was I decided to be confident today and wear shorts in public, I’m a very conscious person and over thing everything, showing off a feature of my body that i’m not totally comfortable with is very daunting. Having not been blessed in the butt department and given more them my share in legs, shorts always fit a little oddly, but I LOVE this little blue number. The cheapest pair of shorts in the whole world.
I’ve finally fallen back in love with jewellery, thank goodness. My jewellery collection is to vast not to wear.

These pajama trousers are so comfy, they were perfect walking around Paris. I didn’t plan to wear a totally black outfit so chose to wear this look on the coolest day. It was still about 20 something.
I love pompoms, this Topshop pompom overlay top is perfect, I tried it on right in the middle of the shop. Even a pompom on my bag. To say I’m obsessed would be an understatement. Can we just admire these sunglasses for a sec. I love mirrored shades and these make me feel super ‘cool’. I call these me space bounty hunter shades.

Aren’t these beach huts adorable, They have been redecorated by Cath Kinston to brighten up peoples day, as part of the #RandomActsofKidston. You’ll find them on the promenade on Bournemouth beach. I believe that these are the key summer prints.
Every time I go into Cath Kidston I have to buy something because it’s all beautiful. I love their home wear. But what really makes me fall in love with Cath Kinston are the accessorise. The purses and bags that have the most lovely patterns on, just make an item that extra special.
How to wear knits in summer. I love this knitted cross over top, it’s so perfect for cooler summer days, I paired it with jeans and of course and my Lulu Guinness. I completely forgot to put my shades on to show you, but they are so gorgeous. I love mirrored sunglasses and saw these on Venz Edits and fell in love.

The day I ate snails for the first time ever.
L’Escargot is an absolute gem, we jumped off the train right next to Nelson Mandela’s Garden and found our way there. You really can’t miss this place, it’s got gold snails all over it.
Stumbling over my French we opted to dine outside, our waiter seemed quite please that I at least tried my hand at French.
These snails were amazing, the texture and look of a mushroom with an amazing kick of garlic. Of course we dipped our bread into the juice to lap up the flavour, not wanting to miss a single drop.
I got the deliciously huge steak medium to well done, the juiciest steak I’ve ever eaten. Nothing at all like the steak in England. Chlo’ went for the Haddock with radishes. We kept eyeing each others plates, and being totally gluttonous we swapped plates. The Haddock was a total surprise, a sweet taste with a creamy sauce. I’ve never had sweet fish before, it was a success.
Creme brûlée for pudding. I love creaking the top, it’s so satisfying. The sweet crunch mixed with the creaming insides, perfection.
N.B: Arrive before 2 like we did and take up the starter and main or main and pudding option €17.50 do sit outside if you can and people watch all the tourists and Parisians going about their day. The whole place is effortlessly chic and decadent. Chandeliers, gold detailing hanging vines that wind their way inside, snail details on the walls and glasses.
Trip advisor give L’Escargot a 4/5. I give it a 5/5
