Autumn and Winter Scents

DSCN0857

All the weather gets colder and colder I find myself reaching for scents more and more. I love the smell of a fire when it’s freezing outside, the smell of hot chocolate in a coffee shop. These scents above have been my top 6 scents this A/W15.

DSCN0858

Daisy Marc Jacobs – The classic everyday perfume that I was gifted for Christmas. I get nostalgic when I wear this. Sweet and floral but not sickening.

Orange Grove – White Company – I picked this up last month and have been spritzing all over my room in the morning to freshen the air. A crisp light scent.

Yves Saint Laurent – Opium This miniature bottle is my Christmas part perfume, gone are the light florals of summer and day time. This perfume is more sophisticated and refined.

Chloé – Another daily perfume not as light as Daisy, this is more of a lunch date perfume. The notes of this are hard to pin point, a little mysterious.

Ted Baker body spray. pink is a sickening sweet affair of mango, musk, patchouli and neroli. My favourite of course is the Mint green. A delicate blend of violet, cherry, vanilla, peach and amber.

Both are great stocking fillers and ideal the throw in you handbag also £2.50 a pop!

Hope you enjoyed looking thought my A/W15 scents, I’d love to know what your go to perfumes and smells are this year.

white vases – IKEA spray painted | fake peonies – Range

Till next time XO Amelia

Fashion Memoirs

Sharing one of the most amazing things I’ve ever done with you on the blog today.

One of the most exciting things I’ve ever done, is go to London Fashion Week s/s 2013.  I’ve always wanted to go so when I got tickets to the Simone Rocha show at Somerset House I was knocked sideways with excitement.

Back then I was borrowing my mums point and shoot camera and didn’t really have a clue about cameras or how to try and change settings for lighting. These photos aren’t the best quality but I love them.

Can you believe that I sat one row away from John Rocha!! Such a fan girl moment, I texted my mum and couldn’t help shaking with excitement.

The photo quality is super cringe worthy! I’m pretty sure it’s all the adrenaline of being at London Fashion Week, being at an amazing show, sitting so close to John Rocha making them blurry.

Lets talk about the looks: Feminine looks given masculine edge. knotted mohawks, chunky shoes, thigh cut outs relaxed waist lines. A lot of black which i really loved, the light reflecting of the ruffles the pop socks with pearls on. The music reminded me of Daft Punk and I was in love with the whole spectacle.

I hope to share with you more of my fashion memoirs and highlights.

Essentials: Traveling

Does anyone have a packing process? I do, I like to create outfits lay them out on my bed add accessories and shoes then finally I think about what make up I’d add. It’s a long winded process but I love playing around and creating new looks.

This is about as essential as my packing gets, everything I need for a trip away. ( – a tooth brush)

DSCN0102I’ve heard that it’s going to be a heat wave in Paris, and I’ve managed to to pack mainly dark pieces. When I go away ( which isn’t every often, to make it that little extra special I take my favourite undies)

DSCN0112Footies are an absolute must when wearing flats in the heat, and these lace ones are so delicate.

DSCN0117When I first started packing my make up I totally over packed. Pallets and brushes, more then once mascara, a foundation and a bb cream. It was way to much. Above is all the make up I’m taking, aren’t you guys proud?

Urban Decay/ Clinique / No7 / Rimmel / Front Cover

DSCN0119The only Jewellery I’m thinking of taking at them moment.

Forever 21 / Mona Mara

DSCN0120Of course you have to take some spending money, no matter your budget you can always find something special to buy in Paris. Don’t forget your passport!

NB: I will post more style posts I promise, this is a style blog after all! xx

Right Now

I thought I’d share with you lovely people some of the things I’m loving ‘Right Now’.

10659226_10205851513979775_7748861379367347074_nOrganisation: I’ve become totally obsessed with tidy and organising things. This is of my Aunty’s makeup station. All the draws are tidied too, I also organised her wardrobe.

264378_2175418344455_143708_nLooking through old school photos: I love this picture so much. I was sports day photographer which was huge because I didn’t take photography. I’m tickling my girl Rianne, while Suzy laughs away.

30143_387793833156_5817549_nIt was my classes Prom-Aversery the other day!! I can’t believe that it’s been 5 years. It’s totally unbelievable how time passes.

11210442_10205805238262911_2068784110239409918_n-2 Channel 4 PopUp: Bournemouth.

A work shop held by Channel 4 and Bournemouth University to give the media creators of the future a helping hand about what they want and how to move up in the industry. Somehow I’m managed to win a place. I spent the day working in marketing.

I hope you enjoyed this post, I’m going to be making this into a regular feature i think.  In other news I’m off to Paris in just under a months time. Yay!!
