Lace Turtle Neck at Tea

I love wearing lace, it’s such a decadent fabric. It elevates any casual outfit into something a little more special. This look is very pared down but with lace, it’s a much more premium look. A t-shirt would have been too casual and an evening look too much for the day. Of course very muted accessories. These New Look hoops are getting much more wear then I thought they would. The rainbow jewels add needed colour to this monochromatic look.

The summer has really made Hayden and I explore much more in England. It seems we save the colder months and Winter for travelling. But summer is for staying at home, well for 2018 anyway.
Driving through the New Forest in the evening, we stopped in Beaulieu to grab and drink and see the donkeys. I’ve been to Beaulieu many times to look around the house and go to the motor museum. We stopped into a little tea room surrounded by New Forest donkeys and a few wasps (know anything about me, know I hate wasps) Sitting at quaint little tables with matching tea sets and tablecloths we sipped our drinks. I instantly regretted not getting something cold. So we wandered over to the Montagu Arms Hotel for an iced something and sat in the window thinking about what we should do for dinner and chatting about the day.

Pale Blue & Bright Red

I’ve explored so many castles and ruins in Dorset but never Durlston Castle in Swanage. Hayden and I went to have a walk with family and take in the castle. We set off from Swanage town, walking all the way up and over the cliffs to the Castle. Taking in the view of the Needles and Swanage Bay as we went. Do go see Durlston Castle because it is a beautiful place the views are amazing and get up to the top floor via the spiral staircase inside, the views up there are panoramic.

These photos are of a thoroughly windswept me trying to show

i off my outfit and not fall to pieces over hunger, messy hair and having walked up a steep hill.

Bird of Prey

I was infatuated with the X by Trollbeads bird skull when it first came out but never managed to get around to buying one. I completely forgot about my love for it until I want to Weymouth the other day. In the Fossil Beach shop ( the precious beads and souvenirs shop), they had loads of necklaces and I saw a little bird skull hanging from a leather thong and it all came back to me. How goth it looked and how unusually it would be to wear. This one is much smaller then the X one, which I prefer. I picked it up right away and have been wearing it ever since. Also adds to the slight punk aesthetic I seem to have found myself with. My silver septum ring bleached hair and now my bird skull.
A chance encounter with a Harris Hawk at the beach was so serendipitous that we couldn’t not have photos together.

Jumpsuit on the Steps

This Next jumpsuit is from last year, do you remember this post? here. I’ve not really worn it since but wasn’t ready to part with it. I paired it with red accessories and a blazer to move it away from a wedding guest look.

Red Pop

Those ladies you see who wear the comfy ‘safe’ black leather pumps, are the real winners in life. I NEEDED  new shoes for work and looked all over the high street. I found nothing, I went into Marks & Sparks on the off chance these would be a pair of shoes for me. There were so many pairs I’d wear as trend pieces. These are the best shoes ever.

This little red number is the replacement bag for my Sandra Rhodes bag that got destroyed at Slam Dunk. A bright red Yumi shoulder bag that fits everything perfectly without being a duffle bag. The gold detailing is very different from what I normally go for but am obsessed with it.

Purple and Pink

Can you believe it’s June.

Seriously where is the time going, and where is the nice weather? I spent Fathers Day with family by the beach. The beach probably wasn’t the best decision, but to live so close it would be rude not to.

Taken after 5 plus G&T’s and a burger and fries.

Probably the happiest I’ll ever looking having my look photos taken. It helps having had a few gins when you have an audience watching H take photos of you.

Mom Jeans and Nasty Gal

I dress for myself and if you aren’t you are missing out. Savour the bridesmaid’s dress /uniform etc that has to be worn. After that, there is really no excuse. Being comfortable in what you are wearing will make you more confident. I love dressing in what I like, over what I should wear.
‘I don’t think you should wear that’ translates to me ‘you should wear that right now, go change’.
I love tucking t-shirts into jeans, my body shape traditionally would have meant that I should try and conceal my bod at all times. F’ that!! I love this Nasty Gal shirt and wanted to show off my jeans, so tucked in it is. I feel confident and am living for it. ( anyone else watching RuPaul season 9?)

Monochrome Summer Style

black in summer is so underrated. Black pieces against pale skin or a more glowing complexion black can take any look form a 5 to and 8 instantly. black dresses are timeless and chic and perfect for running around town in or sitting in a beer garden soaking up the sun. This little one I’ve had for years and has never failed me. The underskirt needs a little attention but it’s so flattering and the perfect length to tan my pins. Worn with the perfect ‘business’ jacket from LOTD and white trainers with contrasting laces.

Genderless Clothing & Paleontology

Dippy – Diplodocus | Dorset County Museum

Dippy stayed in the Victorian hall which is very fitting for a globe trotting dino. He/She wouldn’t have settled for anything less. Dippy is over 100 years old and tours the globe inspiring new generations of scientists. The next Ross Geller could be among us.

I learnt so much about Dippy but couldn’t find Dips gender, which ties in perfectly to my T-shirt. It’s genderless clothing from Zara. Designed with no gender boundaries other then making a cute shirt for anyone to buy. Of course you can shop in either section no matter what just I really enjoy the inclusivity that Zara are promoting.

If you do get the chance to see Dippy in their tour of the UK please do, you’ll learn a lot and get to be Ross for a day. Next Stop Birmingham.
