Vesuvio

Saying bye to my work friends started with dinner at Vesuvio, an Italian on the water front in Bournemouth. Last time i was there i had a pizza which was delicious but this time i had a lasagne dish. Which didn’t live up to how excited i was or how hungry i was. A little tasteless but their bellinis are lovely. And the lemon cheesecake was a smash hit.

A Brief History of Underwear

Undressed:  Brief History of Underwear.

The V&A host so many exhibitions that I’d like to see. I chatted to mum for about 2 seconds before we booked our train tickets and headed into the capital.

IMG_3159

First stop was Harrods where we had brunch in the Godiva Chocolate cafeIMG_3147 IMG_3148 IMG_3151

IMG_3143

the Godiva Milk Chocolate sin cake with a serving of hot pouring chocolate, a salmon and watercress sandwich. Both incredibly delicious and service was prompt considering we were 2nd through the door. IMG_3160

I love looking at and buying underwear and was so excited to go see the undressed exhibition. Of course we weren’t allowed to take photos, which was a real shame because I would have loved to have shown you some of my favourite pieces.

Rowan Yarns 60th Magazine

If you know knitting you know Rowan, I was lucky enough to be invited along to take photos of the 60th magazine edition and have a talk by Kaffe Fassett, in the rose garden of the Royal National Rose Society.

Harry Paye day is an annual event held on Poole Quay every year on the 18th June, but I’ve only been this year. You dress up as a pirate and have a laugh with your friends while you raise some money for local charities.

I pulled on my boots and bandana and dashed to meet my friend before everything finished. I made it just in time to watch the last band play and eat an ice-cream.

It’s amazing that you can pull a costume together with a tan belt, lose shirt, knee high boots and a bandana.

She Wore Blue: Get The Look

Blue eyeliner?!

MJG_4692 MJG_4694 MJG_4698 MJG_4700-001 MJG_4701 MJG_4702 MJG_4703 MJG_4704 MJG_4712 MJG_4715 MJG_4716

I’ve had a blue eyeliner revival. I never thought I’d be wearing blue eyeliner over the age of 15 but here I am at 22 rocking some turquoise.

Try this – A little liner goes along way. Don’t over line your eyes or you’ll look more like an extra from Blade Runner then normal human. Keep then lips low key, make your eyes the statement.

Here are all the products I used of my face to create this look.

Stay Matte Powder, Kate Mascara, Stay Matte Foundation, BB Cream – Rimmel

Life notes: I’ve created a short film with some people from college and it’s going up on youtube soon, which is going to me so exciting.

Star Wars Style

A group of lovely chaps decided to help me with my outfit photos today. I did think they were a little short for storm troopers.

MJG_4649

I spent the day at a village fayre, filled with stalls, food and live music. Ofcourse I took some outfit of the day photos on the hay bails at the end.

70’s Stripes

DSCN1664

My outfit looked so much better without my Long Tall Sally coat, but I knew that I needed it for walking around Poundbury. English weather is unpredictable to say the least. The last time I came to Poundbury there were half the building there are now, which is super odd.  DSCN1651 DSCN1650 DSCN1649 DSCN1661 DSCN1666 DSCN1667

We stopped into my favourite shop Cherryade

DSCN1621 DSCN1622

They are ‘purveyors of super lovely things’ which is exactly what the store is filled with. I want everything they have. The framed art and home-wear are my favourites. Find them online here

Trying to hide from the rain we ducked in and out of shops, and looking at all the pretty houses. We found a little cafe around the corner from Yard, called Bramble.

Summer Dress at Cosy Club

I headed out to grab a bite with Lucy from Blogger Luce. We sat, ate, chatted and shopped, I just window shopped (nothing caught my attention, shocking I know) I love chatting with Lucy, I can talk about everything with her, but mainly about blogging today.

DSCN1582

The first sign of sun and I’m getting my legs out with this dress. I love this dress, an absolute bargain from Primark last year. DSCN1580

DSCN1583

My first ever designer bag got a runaround today. I don’t take her out really ever at all, she’s totally damaged but I’ve had her ages and I just love the pattern and the history. Sparkle ballet flats for all the window shopping.

DSCN1566

We ate at Cosy Club Bournemouth | First time I went I had a milk shake which really wasn’t that great. This time I had sweet potato fries and patatas bravas. I know I just ordered a plate of potato, what can I say, I love it. There are Cosy Clubs all over the UK.

I wore

dress – Primark

shoes – Next

bag – Dooney and Bourke

jewellery – Kate Spade

Jacket – New Look (black)
