Can you tell that I love my new denim jacket and shirt?
I walked past this field a few times and thought that the lighting was so beautiful and soft and pink in the evening and the perfect place to shoot this outfit.
Celine debuted a pair of silk trousers with a monkey pattern on them at their AW/17 runway show. They are total heaven and couldn’t get the print out if my head. H&M have reinterpreted the pattern and created a shirt dress ( pictured) and a skirt. H&M added adorable crowns to some of the monkeys. They remind me of Hanuman. Anyone else a real R.E buff at school?
It’s really starting to feel like Autumn, which means I can wear more earthy warm tones. My tan vintage leather jacket paired with my dark brown Osprey are perfect tones to work with the pattern of the blouse ( dress). The pussy bow collar is usually such a frumpy look but paired with a denim mini skirt makes the whole look a little less granny chic and more 70’s hun.

I spent the weekend in St Albans for my cousins wedding.
My cousin studied fashion at university so I knew her wedding would be beautiful, and it really exceeded my expectations. I wanted to wear something beautiful too, but couldn’t find anything until the last minute. This next culotte jumpsuit is everything I wanted from a wedding guest outfit. Fitted around the waist, loose in the leg to really show of curves.
Accessorised with a few heavy pieces to keep the balance. A woollen trench coat to balance the nude heels and a black Stella McCartney clutch.
This was truly one of the most magical days of the year and am so happy to have been able to celebrate such happiness and love in my family, welcome Tom x
I’ve kept this dress for a couple of years because it’s so breezy and easy to wear in the sun. Since Britain had decided that it is having summer this year I’ve dressed in another leg baring dress. Which for me is a huge step away from my normal hard dressing style.
The wind catches the handkerchief hem which keeps me cooler and it’s a gorgeous 70’s/80’s turquoise pattern too. yes, i have styled this dress with my gold loafers because they are gorgeous and will cry when they finally fall apart.
Because the dress is a couple years old I’ve looked for some great alternatives that I will put down in the ‘I wore’ section. x
I am so glad the sun had finally decided to stay and am loving being a little beach baby. Who else is loving then sun?
I challenged myself with every element of this outfit. Having so much bare leg on show, huge hoop earrings and a white lace dress. I’ve never felt more etherial then I do in this dress. The lace dress has been sitting in my wardrobe for over 2 years not doing anything. I loved it as soon as I saw it but never had the balls to wear it out.
A super summer statement with gold accents. My shoes are so perfect, I wish I bought more then one pair of from Next’s clearance and big gold hoops which i bought for a halloween costume and have since migrated to my everyday jewellery and a Bill Skinner cat ring.
I popped in to London this past weekend to spend some time with the Bloggers Who Brunch people run by the lovely Kirby.
I got the tube from Sloane Square to our event space in North(?) London, and had chats with Katie from LexiLife and Katherine McMorran who is an amazing photographer. We talked about what apps to edit photos on how to set up your camera to get a blur background and how to feel confident on You Tube. We mingled “networked” ate popcorn and learnt a little more about creating content for our channels and blogs.
The views from our event space were amazing, The Shard, St Pauls and the BT tower. 3 landmarks in one view!

Wood flooring, abstract artwork and pink L shaped sofas. That’s my kind of event space, with roof top view. I’d love to be able to live here.
I made friends with a few ladies and we all went for lunch at Meat Liquor in the North and it was an experience. I had the stranded burger and a root beer which were both delicious. The decor was everyday Saw 2 vibes. There were TV screens with mixed up images on, and cctv of the dining area and your food came on metal trays and your tables were metal. It was an immersive first time experience into Meat Liqour. I’d definitely go back and take my BF.
Story time: I nipped to the loo after lunch and get burst in on. Which of course made me scream. Yet the chap that did the bursting in on left me with the door open. I have the most nerve wracking pee of my life. Then i accidentally threw my oyster card in the bin and dropped my ring down the tube escalator. I mean could I have been any more of a mess? Find Meat Liqour here there are loads all over London.
It wouldn’t be The Curly Haired Girl without an outfit update post. There is a reason this space is a ‘style and life blog’, Style comes first. I of course wore my new favourite jacket. If you follow me on Instagram ( you all really should @ameliaboswell) you would have seen this look already, with the added extra of my Primark sunnies.

thanks to Natoya from Juanitalikes for the outfit shots.
I unconsciously dressed to match the weather, the fog has been around all day. So this ootd post looks very moody, and my hair looks extra bright. Golden hair, golden shoes.
I love wearing blue, can you tell? It’s one of my favourite colours and I can’t get enough. My cardigan is a new edition too, it’s a family cardigan. (that sounds odd) My grandma, aunty and mum have all worn it and now it’s mine to wear. I love it to pieces. It looks like late 80’s /early 90’s knit with its heart panels.
I live so close to London and don’t venture in as much as I would like. But yesterday I spent the day in the big smoke and it was fantastic, Stomping around Bond street and Oxford Street. I went solo and met up with a few fellow bloggers so a little late lunch and a book swap.
(Photos not taken in London)
Think this is the first I’ve consciously bought something pink to wear. I love the dress style of this shirt and the band across the bottom adds a frill. It’s definitely one of the more girlie pieces in my wardrobe.
Also leopard print is everywhere at the moments, so I dug out this coat with it’s on trend tulle trimming. Adding accessorise like my mirrored sunglasses and my shoes make this look a little more special. I loving the fishnet trend and am so excited to wear it with everything again. I couldn’t get my hands on a black pair or fishnet socks so I got white. I think they add another element to the outfit.

Behold the mesh embroidered jumper of my dreams, and probably yours now. Worn with blue skinny jeans and my trusty long denim jacket.
This jumper would look great over a tight black dress for new years eve.
